Dr Andreas Klasen is a Partner with actoRx and full Professor of International Business. He serves as Director of the Institute for Trade and Innovation at Hochschule Offenburg, as well as Honorary Research Associate at the University of Oxford. Furthermore, he is Honorary Visiting Professor at Bayes Business School, City, University of London. Andreas Klasen advises governments, innovation funds, developments banks, export credit agencies, export-import banks and corporates on analytics, strategy, organisational design and operations.

Previous Positions

Professor Andreas Klasen was a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Germany and PwC’s Economics & Policy leader, serving also as Managing Director of the official German export credit and investment guarantee agency. Before joining PwC, he was Head of Guarantees and Export Finance with Airbus Group (ex EADS). Professor Klasen also served as the Vice President of the Berne Union.

Education

Dr Andreas Klasen was educated at Leibniz University Hannover, Northumbria University and the University of St Andrews, studying law, business and theology and receiving his doctoral degree in finance.
